Cruising on Hurtigruten

Discover the Norwegian west coast with Hurtigruten. The ships of Hurtigruten have daily departures from Bergen to Kirkenes. Sailing through magical fjords and 34 ports you can experience the beautiful coastline of Norway all year around. During winter you can discover the Northern Lights (September to April). Go on a cruise around scenic Lofoten, Northern Norway

Kingcrab Safari in Kirkines

Go on a Kingcrabsafari by snow mobile or by boat, and try ice-fishing in the Barents Sea near Kirkenes, in the far north of Norway. The king crab can grow to 2 metres and gain a weight of 15 kg, so you are guaranteed to see and taste the biggest and freshest crabs in the world! Longyearbyen

Longearbyen is the central town at Svalbard Islands and it is located on the largest island called Spitsbergen. Mining plays a major part of the community and you can even enjoy a mining guided tour. But Longyearbyen offers more exotic excursions than that such as glacier trekking, dog sledding, fjord cruising, hiking, skiing during the summer period, and snow mobile riding.

You can view the midnight sun between April 19 and August 23 and if you want to experience the period when the sun doesn’t rise you should visit this area between October 28 to February 14

Access: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Tromsø to Longyearbyen by Scandinavian Airlines SAS. There are no roads connecting the islands so you will have to travel by plane.

Afternoon Castle Tour (Hamlet)

Bus tour of major sightseeing spots north of Copenhagen. Sites include: Fredriksborg’s Castel (National Museum), Fredensborg Castel, where the Queen resides and Kronborg Castle, which is known for providing the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet. A recommended tour for those with little time.

Royal Canal Tour

The Royal Canal Tour is a tour along the canals of Djurgården Island, Vaasa Museum, Sodermalm and through Slussen.

Rådhus

The 6 th city hall to have been constructed, completed in 1905, with a characteristic red brick building and a steeple of 105.6m. Even now, it is a functioning part of the city's government. The inside of the building can be toured and guided tours are also available. Jens Olsen's astronomical clock (Jens Olsens Verdensur) on the right hand side of the entrance is still ticking with the precision of erring only 0.4 seconds every 300 years.

Tour to a Deserted Eskimo Village

This boat trip takes you to Stephensen Harbour and the closed village of Niaqornat. Here you will be guided through an Eskimo village in Tuttutooq which is located on an island near Narsaq (southern part of Greenland) and learn the history and architecture of the Eskimos. Lunch and a guided tour is included in the prize.

Assistens Graveyard (Assistens Kirkegård)

Andersen's grave. Others that lived in the same period and were associated with Andersen, such as the philosopher Soren Kierkegaard, are also buried in these grounds. Andersen, the grave keeper, will guide you around the cemetery.

Northern Lights Tour

The Northern Lights Tour travels to Holmestrand Farm, located approximately 20 minutes from Tromsø by car. The tour offers a pick-up and drop-off service. After experiencing horse sledding, you will be served a warm soup and waffles inside a Sami tent, whilst waiting for the northern lights while listening to northern light legends and playing outside in the snow.
