Torup Castle

15km south east of Malmö. A 16th century castle in the middle of the forest. The castle has vines entwined around its brick walls, towers and a moat, and the interior and art collections are beautiful.

The Noble Museum is located in Gamla Stan, which is in the heart of Stockholm. Den Gamle By

The Old Town urban museum's 75 historical buildings, period interiors, animals and people give visitors ample opportunity to make themselves feel that they are back in a Danish market several centuries ago. The 'Den Gamle By' in Århus has received top marks as a travel destination in Denmark.

Herning Museum (Herning Kunstmuseum)

Established in 1977, Herning Kunstmuseum grew out of the active industrial life in and around Herning in the 1950s. Today, the museum''s collections consist primarily of a selection of the former Aage Damgaard collection, as well as the art collection belonging to the Municipality of Herning. A direct shuttle bus takes you to the museum from Birk Centerpark station.

Värmlands Museum

The museum consists of the old museum built in 1929 and the new museum in 1998. The old museum is always open to the public and introduces the history of the Värmland District from the ice age up until now. The new museum is for special exhibits and hosts workshops and lectures.

Tusenfryd

Tusenfryd is one of the biggest theme parks in Norway. It takes about 20 minutes by car from central Oslo. The theme park has the biggest wooden roller coaster in Europe.

City Hall (Stadshuset)

The city hall is located on the south eastern end of Kungsholmen island, this imposing building in the National Romantic style stands overlooking Riddarfjardan. The tower, which has an observation point 76m above the ground, is a landmark of the town with its pinnacle decorated with three dazzling golden crowns. The city hall is open to the public, and the great hall, Blue Hall (BlåHallen), where the Nobel Prize Banquet takes place every year, is a must-see. The interior of the Golden Salon (Gyllen Salen), used for holding balls for VIPs and other guests, is decorated with 19 million plated mosaic tiles and its flamboyant beauty is breathtaking. Visits are only possible as part of guided tours, so please confirm the time of these tours before you arrive. It is possible to enter the tower at any time.

North Zealand

North Zealand is well worth a visit, no only can you enjoy the beautiful coastline and idyllic landscapes, here you also find Kronborg Castle, which is known for providing the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet and Fredriksborg’s Castel (Denmark’s national museum). North Zealand is easily accessible by train from Copenhagen.


Form Design Center

The beautiful 16th century Hedmanska garden is located in the centre of the city. In 2005, the centre will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a special exhibition of architecture, design, product design and handicrafts.

Hanseatisk Museum

The Hanseatisk Museum is one of the buildings that was erected after the 1702 fire. It is an 18th century mercantile establishment that has been restored in its entirety.

Amalienborg

Ever since the fire of Christiansborg Castle in 1794, this palace has been used as the home of the royal family. Armed guardsmen stand in front of each building and the flag on top of the roof is raised whenever the Queen is in the palace. A traditional changing of the guard can be observed every day at noon.


Architectural Museum (Artitekuturmuseet)

The Architectural Museum was opened in combining a modern museum and a photography museum. It displays documents and publications related to architecture in general, as well as documents related to the architecture and city planning of Sweden after the 19th century.

Viking Ship Museum (Vikingskiphuset)

The Viking Ship Museum displays the large Viking ships of Oseberg, Gokstad and Tune, as well as founds from the chief grave at Borre in the Vestfold district. The ships dated back to 8th and 9th century.
