Getting around on bikes in Copenhagen is to recommend. Free city bikes can be rented from Citybike. A Copenhagen card is also handy to purchase, which makes best use of subways, trains, buses, water-buses to tour the capital. It can be purchased at most tourist offices. Recommended sights and areas not to miss include: Slotsholmen, the city hall, Nyhavn, Kastellet and Christianshavn area.

Rådhus

The 6 th city hall to have been constructed, completed in 1905, with a characteristic red brick building and a steeple of 105.6m. Even now, it is a functioning part of the city's government. The inside of the building can be toured and guided tours are also available. Jens Olsen's astronomical clock (Jens Olsens Verdensur) on the right hand side of the entrance is still ticking with the precision of erring only 0.4 seconds every 300 years.

Assistens Graveyard (Assistens Kirkegård)

Andersen's grave. Others that lived in the same period and were associated with Andersen, such as the philosopher Soren Kierkegaard, are also buried in these grounds. Andersen, the grave keeper, will guide you around the cemetery.

Castle Tour of North Sjælland

Bus tour of major sightseeing spots north of Copenhagen. Starts with a tour of Kronborg Castle, which is known for providing the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet, then visits Fredensborg Castle, where the Queen resides in the summer, and finally goes to Frederiksborg Castle, which is now the National History Museum. Royal Copenhagen Welcome Center, Museum You can view the skilled work of designers of the world's top-rated product, Royal Copenhagen. There are also table-setting and paint courses that you can participate in. Inside the museum is an exhibit of products from when Royal Copenhagen was first established, you can also view the manufacturing process of ceramic ware. Second-rate products are also sold in the outlet shop.

Sweden Tour

A journey that travels northward from Copenhagen along the eastern coast of Sjælland and takes you over Helsingborg in Sweden by ferry. You can tour the Cathedral, University, and other areas of Lund, which has been a university city since medieval times, then enjoy sightseeing and shopping at Malmö. The return trip from Malmö to Copenhagen passes over the 16km Øresund channel bridge.
