Bergen

Bergen is the gateway for touring fjords. It is Norway’s second largest city and home to a world heritage city and was Norway’s capital city between the 12th and 13th century. Bergen is responsible for a large chunk of Norwegian culture, such as Ludvig Holberg, a writer known as "Moliere of Northern Europe", and Edvard Grieg, a composer who introduced the world to music inspired by the landscapes of Norway.

It is recommended to get the Bergen Card that entitles you to free admission to museums and other major sightseeing spots, in addition to public transportation, including mountain trains and buses. The card is sold at th Tourist Information Center and in major hotels.

Welcome to Bergen!
